The riverbank grape can be found in the woods of Minnesota. Most often seen near rivers or lakes but can escape this area.  This woody vine can be very aggressive and kill off the native trees. They do this by mostly over shading the existing canopy but can also girdle trees. One of the only woody plants that has been seen to eliminate buckthorn with its aggressiveness.
